Dr Alex Moule - EndodontistAlex Moule is specialist Endodontist with over 20 years’ experience in endodontic practice. He is the principal of a large endodontic practice with branches in Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast and is registered as an Endodontist in Queensland, South Australia, and with the General Dental council in the United Kingdom. He is a past president of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists, and has been a member of the Australian Society of Endodontology for 35 years.

Prior to his move into private practice, Alex taught dentistry both internationally and in Australia. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1979. He holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship at the University of Queensland and is still active in dental research. He was the founder and coordinator of the Brisbane Endodontic Research Group, was foundation chairman of the Australian Society of Endodontology Research Grants committee and is chairman of Australian Society of Endodontology Teachers Committee. He has supervised of numerous research theses at a number of universities and has over 50 research publications.

His standing in the dental community has been recognised by the award of several International Fellowships including the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International and the Pierre Fauchard Society. He is also a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Australia. He is also a Member of Queensland Government Dentists Panel of Assessors and an active member of several international editorial advisory committees including the Journal of Endodontics, the International Endodontic Journal and the European Journal of Dentistry. For many years he was on the Editorial Board of the Australian Endodontic Journal. He recently retired as LTCOL consultant (Endodontics) in the Australian Army.

Alex's special fields of interest are endodontic, pain diagnosis and treatment planning. He has a particular interest in Dental Trauma and is currently a Director of the International Association of Dental Traumatology, an international body dedicated to the teaching of Dental Traumatology worldwide.

Alex is Married is to Judy-Ann and has two sons, Chris and Richard, who are both dentists, and a daughter, Elizabeth.

Jeff HislopDr. Jeff Hislop graduated from the University of Queensland in 1983. He then went to work at Brisbane Dental Hospital from 1984 to 1985, where he joined the endodontic department. During this period he was also the visiting dentist at Royal Brisbane Hospital. From1985 to 2003 he worked in private practice in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, including some consulting work for the R.A.A.F. at Amberley. In 1998 he obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. In 2004 he began fulltime study at the University of Queensland Dental School for a Masters Degree, in endodontics, that he subsequently completed in 2006. In 2007 he joined Dr Alex Moule in specialist practice in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. He is currently the state’s Federal representitive to both the Australian and New Zealand Acadamy of Endodontists, and the Australian Society of Endodontics. He has previously lectured at both Griffith University and Queensland University Dental Schools. Jeff is married to Susan, they have a son, Lachlan. In his spare time he enjoys long distance running.
